Remembering Two Icons

In the span of just two days, we lost two remarkable figures who meant a great deal to generations of LGBTQIA+ people. Dolly Parton and Tim Curry each built singular careers by being unmistakably themselves, and in very different ways, helped make space for others to do the same. Their humor, fearlessness, generosity, resilience, and refusal to conform inspired and uplifted our community for decades. Their loss is deeply felt. 

That legacy has particular resonance for GBL. At its best, our league is a place where people can feel safe, find belonging, be fully themselves, and gain the confidence to keep going and become their best. Dolly and Tim embodied much of that same spirit. We are grateful for all they gave us.
