A few hours. A useful skill. A good idea. An extra pair of hands. There are many ways to help strengthen GBL, support our community, and shape what comes next.

GBL has always been about more than what happens on the lanes. Along with creating a strong, welcoming experience for our bowlers, we support our community through service, outreach, education, charitable initiatives, programs, resources, events, and other efforts that continue to grow in scope and possibility.
That growth takes people. There is more we want to do, more we can improve, and more we can make possible with members contributing their time, skills, ideas, and interests. That might mean helping with one event, lending your expertise to a project, taking on an occasional task, or getting involved on a more regular basis.
We are also pursuing 501(c)(3) recognition—an important step toward expanding the resources, partnerships, and support available to GBL and increasing what we can accomplish for our members and the wider community.
You do not need to make a major commitment to make a meaningful contribution. Help us strengthen what GBL already does, create capacity for what comes next, and shape what GBL can become.
Some opportunities are visible: community service, charitable initiatives, events, outreach, education, fundraising, and programs for our members and the wider community.
Others happen behind the scenes. GBL also needs help planning, organizing, communicating, coordinating, researching, creating, documenting, solving problems, supporting events, improving member experiences, developing partnerships, maintaining digital resources, and handling the many details that keep the organization moving.
Those are examples, not a job list. The best place to start is with what you enjoy, what you know how to do, and how much time you realistically want to give.
Maybe you write or design. Maybe you take great photos, know social media, organize events, work with technology, build community relationships, raise funds, manage projects, keep complicated things organized, or simply know how to get things done.
Maybe you have an entirely different skill or idea we have not thought of yet.
We want to hear about that too.
Getting involved does not mean signing up for another major commitment.
You might spend an hour helping with a particular task. Join us for a service project. Help make one event happen. Contribute professional expertise to something specific. Work with a Board member on a project that interests you. Or become a regular part of an effort you care about.
You do not have to run for the Board to have an important role in the work GBL does.
What matters is more people contributing what they can.
More participation gives us the capacity to keep improving the programs, events, resources, communications, and experiences our members already value.
It also gives us room to think bigger: to expand our community work, strengthen partnerships, develop new resources and educational efforts, support people who need us, pursue new ideas, and turn possibilities into things we can actually do.
Bowling is what connects us. What we build from that connection is up to all of us.

Tell us what interests you, what you are good at, or simply that you are willing to help. We can find the right place to start together.
